In this ritual, a dog is suspended above the Veleka River on a rope then it is turned repeatedly in a direction to wind the rope, 

then the dog is released so that it spins rapidly in the opposite direction as the rope unwinds.

The terrified dogs reach such high speeds that by the time they land in the river they are unable to swim and die under water.

In questo rituale, i cani vengono sospesi sopra il fiume Veleka,

su una corda avvolta su se stessa più volte.

I cani vengono rilasciati e fatti girare rapidamente nella direzione opposta all'avvolgimento della corda.

I cani, terrorizzati, 

raggiungono velocità così elevate che nel momento in cui atterrano sull'acqua,

non sono in grado di nuotare e muoiono annegati.
